Hurghada is a city on Red Sea coast in Egypt. It has been founded at the begin of 20th century as a small fishing village. Till the 80’s it stayed that way. After the peace was signed between Egypt and Izrael, Hurghada start to develop into a city. Currently it is the second largest city in the Red Sea Governorate. There is five main parts of Hurghada:
- Dahar – the oldest part
- Sakkala – the city center
- Mamsha – touristic center
- El Kawther -the modern part
- El Ahia – the norther part.
Hurghada is known mostly as a tourist city. There is many watersport activities here, like scuba diving, snorkeling, kitesurfing, and windsurfing. The amazing weather all year long make the town great location for holidays for both tourists from Europe and from Egypt.
The city is over 36km long. Stretched mostly on the coast. There is over 260 000 inhabitants.
